My Hair Favourites with Clip Hair

Tuesday, 9 January 2018

I don't talk about haircare very often on my blog. I definitely prefer talking about what's on my face rather than what's on my head. However, 2017 was the year where I've turned a corner with my haircare with the help of some of these products...

I never thought I could be the girl who wore hair extensions - bearing in mind that before this year all I could do to my hair was brush and dry it (and occasionally straighten it). However, I discovered Clip Hair and I was honestly blown away with how easy it made hair extensions. Some of you might know that I cut my hair back in September time and while most of the time I love having short hair, I do often miss having the sassy mermaid hair that I don't have the time or patience for. Clip Hair are a fantastic service if you're a complete newbie to hair extensions like I was. You can email them a picture of your hair in natural light beforehand in order to get a correct colour match; they arrive quickly in the post and are all 100% human hair which makes it look completely realistic and not like you have extensions in at all.

The extensions can be easily styled (and dyed if you fancy a fancy new look) with heat and products of your choice and clip in so easily. It's so easy just to clip them in to the back of your head and then watch the transformation in the mirror in front of you. The ones pictured are 24 mm but Clip Hair do a massive range at all different lengths, styles (you can even buy curled ones!) and colours so there's sure to be one out there for everyone. I tried the full head set and can honestly say it's the most stress-free hair styling experience I've ever had. If you're in the market for a new look now and then, I highly recommend. They offer a free colour swap service (if they matched you incorrectly), offer free UK shipping and a 48 hour money back guarantee should you need it (which you definitely won't!).

Percy & Reed Dry Shampoo, No-Oil Oil and WonderBalm

Percy & Reed is a brand I've had a lot of love for this year. They're very big fans of my Instagram and are always liking and commenting on my posts which is very appreciated. I reached out to them to thank them for their continued support on my Instagram and they sent me over some products tailored to my hair type! They sent over their Dry Shampoo, No-Oil Oil and the WonderBalm for me to try. I really like using Argan Oil on my hair so I was so eager to try out the No-Oil Oil. I was so impressed with it. All you do is take a little bit and run it through towel-dried hair and it works wonders. It makes your hair feel so soft, swishy and healthy without the often kind of sticky and gross feeling that oil can sometimes give you. You use the WonderBalm in the same way which has really helped me with styling. It adds a little texture to make styling your hair that much easier.  I also adore the Dry Shampoo. It's one of the best I've ever tried - even better than my beloved Co-Lab. The scent is really pleasant and lingers nicely and your hair feels texturised, clean and it's free of white cast! Percy & Reed have firmly become one of my favourite haircare brands and I can't wait to see what new products they have in store for 2018!

RedKen Pillow Proof Blow Dry Primer Spray

I picked up this little gem in a Christmas set from Feel Unique called "Hair Heroes" which as part of their Christmas "Season To Shine" promotion. It was in this set that I discovered Redken and the absolute joy that is their Blow Dry Primer Spray. I am someone who uses heat on my hair quite often and so I am always looking for the next best 'anti-frizz' products. I blow dry my hair three times a week, give or take, and most of the time my hair does end up with a bit of frizz. However, I have discovered the mother of all anti-frizz products in this RedKen spray. It protects your hair from that dreaded blow-dry frizz and keeps it looking ridiculously smooth, silky and well looked after all day - in all weathers and even if you sleep on it. If you're like me and suffer from static, frizzy hair from time to time then you will definitely love this spray from RedKen and I highly recommend that you pick it up.

The highlight of my favourites here have to be the Clip Hair Extensions but I do love everything in this post that I've tried out this year. What are some of your hair favourites?

  3. I love the packaging of the Percy and Reed products! I've never tried hair extensions myself, tbh I've got so used to having short hair now that having it long feels strange! xx

  5. The Clip In hair looks amazing! I've been lusting over extensions for a while now, but don't want ones that risk damaging my hair so these may well be the answer!
